Hey all you trading post junkies. Hope you are finding lots of great thing for your home or office this fall season. We just scored two new finds for the store and wanted to pass them your way.

This is a very amazing bench. We found this in Kentucky. The sale we went to had 3 brothers who were selling everything. They let us in on a secret. An old mule bench is the name of this and when you were bad this is where you were punished. Of course they said there was lots of great conversation from all 3 of them when they were in trouble with their dad. $149.99 a small price for a great piece with great history.

Summit Hickory Pit BBQ and SHP Trading Post would like to thank all who attended the Old Summit Antique Show. As most of you may know we were invited by Sandee Millett. We are so delighted to share Summit Hickory Pit BBQ with all the people who love antiquing and BBQ as much as us! The September show was a huge hit. We heard lots of amazing things from many vendors and customers a like. We hopw you, your family and friends got the chance to attend. However if you did not. The Old Summit Country Antique Show will be held on Saturday, September 11th 2010 from 9:00-4:00.

This a must for every shopper. The show
will be held @ The John Knox Pavillion in Lee's Summit, MO.

Summit Hickory Pit BBQ will be serving lunch and snacks from 10:00-4:00. We hope to see all on Saturday.

Hey hope you all are well.
Just arrived today is our new line of 100% Organic skin care products and candles from a great company in Scranton, PA. Danielle and Company has developed this amazing line of fresh scents for the mind, body and soul. Danielle and her crew have put many years of scentology to work.

When she was in graduate school, she became fascinated by the way scents and aromas can affect people’s moods and behaviors. Scents evoke emotion, connect us with the past, enliven our spirits and relax our bodies. Being a behavioral therapist, she wanted to find a scent delivery method that was easy to use, easy to remember and pleasurable. she knew there had to be a way to infuse scent into a clinical setting without it being seen as a prescription or medicine.

she started making soaps in her kitchen and “testing” their effects on friends and family and at the local Farmer’s Market. People loved it!
